CVSS v3.1 |
Multiple memory leaks in the normalization functionality in 389 Directory Server before 1.2.7.5 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via "badly behaved applications," related to (1) Slapi_Attr mishandling in the DN normalization code and (2) pointer mishandling in the syntax normalization code, a different issue than CVE-2011-0019.
Multiple memory leaks in ISC DHCP 4.1.x and 4.2.x before 4.2.4-P1 and 4.1-ESV before 4.1-ESV-R6 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) by sending many requests.
Multiple memory leaks in Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) before 3.6.5 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption or daemon crash) via a large number of PDUs with (1) a crafted context number to the DoFetch function in pmcd/src/dofetch.c or (2) a negative type value to the __pmGetPDU function in libpcp/src/pdu.c.
The xfs_ioc_fsgetxattr function in fs/xfs/linux-2.6/xfs_ioctl.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.36-rc4 does not initialize a certain structure member, which allows local users to obtain potentially sensitive information from kernel stack memory via an ioctl call.
The actions implementation in the network queueing functionality in the Linux kernel before 2.6.36-rc2 does not properly initialize certain structure members when performing dump operations, which allows local users to obtain potentially sensitive information from kernel memory via vectors related to (1) the tcf_gact_dump function in net/sched/act_gact.c, (2) the tcf_mirred_dump function in net/sched/act_mirred.c, (3) the tcf_nat_dump function in net/sched/act_nat.c, (4) the tcf_simp_dump function in net/sched/act_simple.c, and (5) the tcf_skbedit_dump function in net/sched/act_skbedit.c.
Memory leak in pngrutil.c in libpng before 1.2.44, and 1.4.x before 1.4.3, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption and application crash) via a PNG image containing malformed Physical Scale (aka sCAL) chunks.
Memory leak in the embedded_profile_len function in pngwutil.c in libpng before 1.2.39beta5 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (memory leak or segmentation fault) via a JPEG image containing an iCCP chunk with a negative embedded profile length. NOTE: this is due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2006-7244.
Memory leak in mm/hugetlb.c in the Linux kernel before 3.4.2 allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory consumption or system crash) via invalid MAP_HUGETLB mmap operations.
Memory leak in pngwutil.c in libpng 1.2.13beta1, and other versions before 1.2.15beta3, allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (memory leak or segmentation fault) via a JPEG image containing an iCCP chunk with a negative embedded profile length.
Memory leak in the inotify_init1 function in fs/notify/inotify/inotify_user.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.37 allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via vectors involving failed attempts to create files.
Memory leak in the dissect_dcom_ActivationProperties function in epan/dissectors/packet-dcom-sysact.c in the DCOM ISystemActivator dissector in Wireshark 1.10.x before 1.10.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via crafted packets.
Memory leak in smbd in Samba 3.6.x before 3.6.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory and CPU consumption) by making many connection requests.
| A Missing Release of Memory after Effective Lifetime vulnerability in the IKE daemon (iked) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with SPC3, and SRX Series allows an administratively adjacent attacker which is able to successfully establish IPsec tunnels to cause a Denial of Service (DoS).
If specific values for the IPsec parameters local-ip, remote-ip, remote ike-id, and traffic selectors are sent from the peer, a memory leak occurs during every IPsec SA rekey which is carried out with a specific message sequence. This will eventually result in an iked process crash and restart.
The iked process memory consumption can be checked using the below command:
user@host> show system processes extensive | grep iked
PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE C TIME WCPU COMMAND
56903 root 31 0 4016M 2543M CPU0 0 2:10 10.50% iked
This issue affects Juniper Networks Junos OS:

GPAC version 2.1-DEV-rev505-gb9577e6ad-master was discovered to contain a memory leak via the afrt_box_read function at box_code_adobe.c.
GPAC version 2.1-DEV-rev505-gb9577e6ad-master was discovered to contain a memory leak via the gf_isom_box_parse_ex function at box_funcs.c.
Memory leak in the png_handle_tEXt function in pngrutil.c in libpng before 1.2.33 rc02 and 1.4.0 beta36 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (memory exhaustion) via a crafted PNG file.
Multiple memory leaks in freshclam/manager.c in ClamAV before 0.94 might allow attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via unspecified vectors related to "error handling logic".
Memory leak in the ipip6_rcv function in net/ipv6/sit.c in the Linux kernel 2.4 before 2.4.36.5 and 2.6 before 2.6.25.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via network traffic to a Simple Internet Transition (SIT) tunnel interface, related to the pskb_may_pull and kfree_skb functions, and management of an skb reference count.
Mozilla Firefox before 2.0.0.15 and SeaMonkey before 1.1.10 do not properly handle an invalid .properties file for an add-on, which allows remote attackers to read uninitialized memory, as demonstrated by use of ISO 8859 encoding instead of UTF-8 encoding in a French .properties file.
Memory leak in Pidgin 2.0.0, and possibly other versions, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via malformed XML documents. NOTE: this issue has been disputed by the upstream vendor, who states: "I was never able to identify a scenario under which a problem occurred and the original reporter wasn't able to supply any sort of reproduction details."
